A great day was had by all 27 teams who attended the recent Quicksticks Hockey Festival hosted by Pelicans HC at Lynnsport.

School teams chose to take part in either the Cup competition or the Developmental festival – both of which were officiated by Junior and Senior Pelican club members.

Congratulations go to Glebe House Jaguars who won the Cup competition with Terrington Tornados runners up, St Marthas Crusaders 3rd and Hillcrest 4th.

The Shield Pool was won by Gayton and the Trophy Pool by Glebe Panthers.

In the developmental Festival all teams played a series of coached round robin matches with no scores taken.

Many thanks go to Pelicans HC who hosted and ran the event – it is now hoped that many young players will now be inspired to join junior training at the club on a Saturday morning.
