A fantastic morning of Cross Country running took place this week at Lynnsport with the qualifiers from Smithdon, Downham, St Clements, Marshland, Nicholas Hamonds and Town Clusters all competing in this years finals.

Almost 450 students from across West Norfolk took part representing over 40 different Primary schools.

Separate races for Boys and Girls across Year groups 3 to 6 were completed throughout the morning with a field of almost 60 runners per race.

All qualifiers will be presented with certificates back at school and information about how to now further their running experience through local Athletics clubs, local Junior Parkrun and the Shouldham Cross Country series.

A big thank you to all those schools and parents who supported the event and to the team of Sports Leaders from CWA and KES who helped to check runners in, act as a hare for each race, marshal the course and hand out finish tokens at the end of each race.

A great team effort to deliver another successful West Norfolk Schools event.
